Description
Vintage 1940’s Kolsman Altimeter. I inherited this from a family friend who used to be an airplane instrument mechanic. She began working at Barfield Instrument Corp. in Miami after WWII and became the “go-to” person in the shop for Altimeter overhaul and recalibration. Also one of the earliest women to achieve an FAA certification. She retired in 1971. This was a unit she was given as a souvenir and she used it as a barometer during hurricanes. PayPal and US shipping only.
