Description
Up for sale is a genuine piece of 1950s aviation history: an original Wing Flap Position Indicator Gauge manufactured for Beech Aircraft (Beechcraft). I have another identical gauge like this stamped with 1953 and I see “56” on this, so should assume it is from similar era likely 1956. This instrument was heavily utilized in classic postwar civilian and military trainer aircraft, such as the legendary Twin Beech (Model 18), the T-34 Mentor, and early V-tail Bonanza models.
Condition Details:The gauge face remains in good vintage aesthetic condition, with the "Flap Position" text, measurement indicators, and tracking needle fully intact and highly legible. The glass front protective lens is securely sealed. The rear casing and connection terminals show expected signs of historical cockpit service, minor storage scuffs, and natural vintage aging.
This unit is sold untested, as-is, and strictly as an aviation collectible/salvage core for parts or cosmetic panel restoration. It is not yellow-tagged or certified for immediate flight operations. It is a fantastic piece for warbird preservationists, flight simulator cockpit builders, or as high-end desktop industrial decor.
Please review all high-resolution pictures to evaluate the complete housing profile and rear terminal details prior to placing a bid or buying.
