Description
Up for sale is a matched pair lot of two (2) vintage Airborne Model 2H3-19 Vacuum Regulating Valves featuring integrated John W. Hobbs Corp internal vacuum micro-switches for low-suction cockpit annunciator panel warning lights.
These units were carefully uninstalled during an avionics panel tear-down and are offered together as rebuildable core parts, bench test mockups, or historical displays.
VERIFIED YEAR OF MANUFACTURE:
The specific production dates are explicitly encoded via the original Airborne serial numbers stamped on the faceplates:
• Valve 1 (Serial 10 B): Manufactured October 1976
• Valve 2 (Serial 11 D): Manufactured November 1978
FUNCTIONAL USE:
These valves are designed to maintain stable negative pressure across altitudes for critical pneumatic instruments like the Attitude Horizon and Directional Gyro (DG). They serve as direct cross-references for the popular Rapco RA2H3-19 and the OEM Piper 492-240 valve assemblies.
CONDITION DISCLOSURE:
These aviation components are being sold strictly AS-REMOVED, UNTESTED, and UNCERTIFIED . They show authentic signs of age, including paint chipping, normal surface wear, and light oxidation on the steel hardware exactly as captured in the high-resolution listing photos. No FAA Form 8130-3 airworthiness tags are provided. A complete teardown, bench test, or official overhaul by an authorized FAA repair station is required prior to any potential flight installation.
