Ptenets-2 microplane is a high-wing parasol aircraft designed as an ultra-light aircraft based on a hang glider configuration.

Combined with V-shaped tubular struts and pre-stressed mechanical cable tensioners, which create a downturned wing, it offers increased strength and rigidity.

The wing is not very comfortable due to its uneven surfaces.

Structurally, the wing consists of two halves—these parts are telescopically connected by internal cable tensioners and spring-loaded pins and clamps.

The wing airfoil is G584 convex-concave (Atlas airfoils—Göttingen-584).

The wing skin is made of Mylar (nylon is unsuitable due to its loss of rigidity when wet twice).

The Chick-2 primarily used German Profill-LL Dacron (for example, with a Mylar film coating).

The tail unit has no profile; the profile remains flat, like most aircraft. This technology is simpler and easier to operate.
